BENIN CITY –  CONTRARY  to fears in some quarters that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari may probe past corrupt political office holders if elected into office, national Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie Oyegun has said that a Buhari presidency will not dig into the past.

He, however, accused the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP of blasphemy, following comments from the presidency describing President Goodluck Jonathan as Jesus Christ.

Oyegun who spoke to newsmen in Benin City, Monday, said that the insinuation that a Buhari presidency will send many Nigerians to jail, was a blackmail being masterminded by the PDP leadership, stressing that only those who may not want to change from their corrupt practices will have the retired General to contend with.

“The only people I think should fear the Buhari Presidency are those who do not want change. Those who want to continue with business as usual, are those who want to continue to profit from the level of corruption in the society. We will have no apologies for people like that. But it is clear that from the Buhari perspective and that of the APC, the future of the people of this country is too important for us to spend valuable time trying to dig into the past.

“The first moments of a Buhari Presidency the outlook is on the future. The message will be clear, whatever you engage in before that is detrimental to the people of this country, please stop it, change has come. It is time for change and anybody who decides that he does not want to be part of change and want business as usual that is his choice.

The thieves should be made to return all their loots. Jonathan couldn't do it, Buhari should do it if he wins. So Oyegun better recant his words or else I see no difference between APC and PDP.

Buhari just shot himself in the foot with a very big gun. And most people want to vote him because they think he will do this.

For those expecting a roaring general as president, you've seen that he is someone who doesn't even intend to trouble the waters.

Like I said before, he will get a little more votes than he did last time because Nigerians are benevolent people. Having contested and lost three times, his final attempt should not be worse than the previous so he will get some vote out of the generosity of Nigerians. Apart from that, nothing else is guaranteed.

PDP- CANDIDATE- Patience Ebele Jonathan.
RUNNING MATE- Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

APC- CANDIDATE- General Muhammadu Buhari.
RUNNING MATE- Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

This is a good development. It shows that his government does not intend using/ wasting it's first 2 years to fight past corrupt leaders the same way Jonathan wasted his first two years bringing in policies that made life unbearable for Nigerians.

[b]APC has offered PDP a solid political competition and this is what we need in Nigeria.
PDP has failed Nigeria for so long and everyone is yearning for a change. The fact that APC is on PDP's heels should be enough impetus for PDP to up their game and the competition will lead to development and growth with both parties trying to out-do each other and show that they are better.

I will use Anambra state for example
Before Chris Ngige, Anambra was worse than Abia state.
Upper Iweka was a crime haven and you can't walk comfortably in day time not to talk of Night. Chris Ngige came in and changed everything when he saw that APGA was about to whisk power from him.
he started fixing roads and rebuilding anambra state.

Peter Obi came in and couldnt slow the tempo. He had to match or surpass what Ngige did.
Willie obiano is here now and he is also keeping the flag flying. Now Anambrarians have tasted good governance, there is No going back!!!

That is the Nigeria I want.
