Urges Nigerians to ignore his remarks
Chime promises to mobilise Enugu State for Jonathan

The Youth Council of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation,  Ohaneze Ndigbo on Wednesday carpeted the fiery Enugu Catholic priest,  Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka, for his recent advice to Nigerians to reject President Jonathan in the coming election because of alleged non-performance.

Describing his remarks as “spiritual poison” unbecoming of a religious leader, the National President of the Ohaneze Youth Council,  Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, urged Nigerians, especially Ndigbo, to ignore the vituperations of the Catholic priest as he was not speaking for either the Catholic Church or Ndigbo.

He said the comments by Rev. Father Mbaka against the president were not only vexatious but inciting and advised him to steer clear of politics and face his spiritual calling.

"Mbaka as a man of God should have stayed out of politics and concentrated on winning souls for God. He does not understand the issues he dabbled into and he appears to be under the prodding of fifth columnists. His followers expected him to give them spiritual food but he is now giving them a spiritual poison,” the group lamented.

Meanwhile, ahead of the flag-off of the Presidential Campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu state on Friday this week, Governor Sullivan Chime has declared his readiness to mobilise the people of the state to deliver 100 per cent of their votes to President Goodluck Jonathan during the February 14 election.

am not a politician,but anyone who is against jonathan,is just an as..s...h,o.l.e, they don"t want peace and will never see peace,,why because the little change that came through janathan these past years,,if all our past Big heads of states and president,did half of what jonathan is doing now,ladies and gentle men,Naija should havebeen among the best counteries to live,,mudavuka buhari is coming back to do what? that is my question,,to repeat war againt indicipline? ofwhich that is not what we need,if every part of our country is the way they are suppose to be,automatically,people go maintain for sure,,just making my point from outside naija,,jah bless ,let Jonathan finish his good works

Despite his rants against Former governor Chimaroke Nnamani, he couldn't stop him from completing his second term as governor and Senate election victory.

Mixing religion with politics is not good. But what baffles is how the catholic bishops who have dissociated themselves from the Enugu Reverend, since the footage of him castigating Mr. Jonathan went viral, see nothing bad or worth correction when he(Enugu Reverend) hosted Mrs Patience and endorsed her husband(president). Perhaps, his action then wasn't political, but became one the momemt it involves Buhari, or better still a Muslim politician.
I won't judge because I ain't God. But humanly speaking, it's a pure display of hypocrisy and double standard.

Don't mind Rev. Fr. Mbaka.
He is a good man and is doing his job well, but he should learn to control his tongue.

The sympathy he gained owing to the attack on his ministry years back is subject to wavering if he keeps this up.
