The bible in Luke 6:37 says: “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

This portion of the bible is usually quoted when men of God or church leaders are caught in sin and abominable acts.

My above topic about Winner’s chapel is in connection to the harsh judgment students of Covenant University which is owned and control by the owner of winner’s chapel have been receiving.

If the bible in Matthew 7:1 & Luke 6:37 talks tells us not to judge people. Then why are students of Covenant University which is owned by a Church receiving harsh treatment in the name of judgment.

Covenant University is a university whose law are almost like that of the military college. Students have been expelled from the institution for minor reasons not to even talk of suspension.

In 2013, more than 100 students were expelled from the institution for not attending devotion and when I heard it I asked if God do prosecute or punish people for not attending church service in a severe manner.

Last year, a female student dragged the University to court for expelling her from the institution for watching and x-rated music video on her phone.

This is a school where a female and male students are not to be seen together after 7pm (is it a Sharia school ?) and if spotted together, it’s the end of their studies in the school.

What always baffles me is when church leaders or owners commit sin, people will shield them with bible portions like the ones above. We’ve had issues where church leaders have been involved in abominable act like the one we had about a big church owner having problem with his marriage which has not been resolved because of adultery and another case where another big church leader’s jet was used to smuggled arms, yet this things looks as if nothing happen.

If God would pass this kind of judgment to people, how will we survive? Especially to church leaders who know the laws but are breaking it every day and when people complain they will quote

1 Chronicle 16:22 “Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!”

Church leaders should first check their behaviors and discipline themselves before disciplining others in a harsh way.

The expelled students did not tell u what they did before they expelled. That's still the problem, lying. A crime that will warrant being expelled will be big, not missing devotion. Besides, before they r admitted into school, they were given orientations, they have the handbook. But I persive those students are like you, who feel its a free world, anybody can do anything, the Bible says don't judge. Maybe you have forgotten, its a private university, if u don't like how its run, change school. Stop quoting scriptures out of context.

But if it is a pastor that's caught in a sinful act what will you say?

pf a pastor is caught in a sinful act like adultery as the case was for a very popular pastor in Nigeria last year that he still have a big marital issue. the members said people should not judge him, then why not allow the same law when others commit sin.
