Jews reject Jesus as the Son of God. Though I learnt we have christian jews now sha. But the real jews do not believe that Jesus has any link with God. To them he blasphemed God by saying he and God are one and calling himself Son of God. The jews are like muslims. They believe they are servants of God not children of God.
Jews believe that jesus will not return and he has no role to play in salvation.
Christians believe in the God of the jews. They believe that that same God sent Jesus to this world to renew the path to God. They believe that Jesus Christ was with God and sent by God to give a new message. That we have direct access to God only through faith in Jesus.
Christians believe that Jesus came as a sacrifice ( Human sacrifice) the jews used animals in those days but the christians believe that God used his only son as a sacrifice for the attonent of sins.
The christians believe that jesus will come back again and that he will take those who have faith in him and who did not live in sin to heaven.

Well, Truth of the matter is this, The Jews have never seen Jesus as the "Messiah". According to the Bible, They were very instrumental to his crucifixion, That's the little I know.

The indifference is because the Jews do not recognize that the christian Jesus fits the description of the promised messiah in their Torah. They even believe till today, that he was the illegitimate son of a Roman centurion, and the virgin birth was used to cover up the illicit affair.

The religions diverge regarding the identity of Messiah. Whereas Christianity claims that Jesus Christ is Messiah, those who follow Judaism do not think that Jesus was the One God sent to redeem His people. However, they do trust in God's promise to send the Messiah.

it is simple, they don't believe in what christians say that their Messiah was crucified. They see it as a slap because the Messiah christians claimed is the Messiah didn't come the way they expected. The cross is foolishness to them but God will still save them.

the meaning of Christ is anointed one, all the kings that ruled isreal are anointed,they are Christ, and all this kings fought war and win battle for the Jews, but still the Jews are waiting for the final prophet that will deliver the kingdom to them, unknown to them is that the kingdom is the one adam lost but they thought the kingdom is here(on earth).even the disciples of Jesus don't know who he really is only Simon peter knows him.

All the kings were anointed by the prophet, but this final prophet was anointed by God himself, acts10:38;

You see it was God himself that anointed Jesus Christ, so the Jews expected him to fight war and win battle for them;

Jews are historically stubborn people and have rejected or killed a lot of their past prophets. Some Jews are still waiting for a messiah but according to old testament prophesy, Jesus was that messiah, unfortunately some Jews believe that the messiah will be a king that will rule the world... This is why Jesus was accussed of blasphemy and killed when he said he was the Son of God and one with God.

This topic requires a deep understanding of the old testament and christain theology.
delishpot mentioned above how the Jews outrightly reject Jesus, what she forgets to mention or maybe she doesn't know that all the early christains were Jews. Alot of the thousand that were killed in early christain history for accepting Christ were Jews. Paul(then called Saul) a Jew was hunting Jews who accepted Christ until he too bent the knee and was called to be one of the greatest of christains. It was more common to see a Jewish christain than to see a gentile/ foreign christain.

A lot of Jews accepted Christ was the son of God and today there are millions of Jewish christains. Judaism is the only purely monotheist religion in a surface understanding of the word... Christains pray to God the father and the Son while Muslims invoke Mohammed..christains prove from scripture that God the son and holy sprirt are one while Muslims claim they just greet Mohamed but pray to allah(remember Mohammed is not ominipresent, hence he can't hear Muslims)


Jews also call themselves children of God, and humbly say they serve God hence they also refer to themselves as servants of God but never slaves of allah, God is a father to his children and loves all his creature, unlike allah wh Mohammed says in quran is the father to No one and Muslims are his slaves... so yes christains and Jews refer to them selves as children of God. Jews also call them selves God's chosen people but they forget that they were chosen as the channel through which the messiah, Jesus Christ will be born..this is why they had to maintain a high level of righteousness and went through a lot of tough times in the OT when they disobeyed God.

More Jews keep converting to christainity, however Judaism is part and parcel of their culture..
