CHAPTER 3 Senator Adams had never been happier since he started his campaign for the presidency election, although his rallies had always attracted lots of people he had never had a better opportunity to get to the people's heart. Since they fixed the presidency debate he had been unsure about what to say until yesterday when he saw the news, he felt fate had better things in store for him. "Sir, your car is ready " Vincent said Vincent had been the worst campaign assistant since Senator Adam hired him, he always felt like it was his worst mistake until yesterday he got a call from Vincent. "Sir,i got what you need to win" Vincent said "Boy,you better be serious " he said with a warm smile "Just switch your Television to A.I.T" The Senator hunged up and switched on his television, immediately he understood. "Give me a minute, i'll be out soon " he said to Vincent . "Thought he said he'll be out soon" Vincent said to himself after waiting for over ten minuites more he saw the Senator walking out of his mansion. Senator Adams admired his marbles as usually, he had seen the exact marbles in Aso rock and decided to have it in his house to make him feel better after loosing election twice. He walked slowly to his Range rover, he had specifically booked it for the debate. Vincent followed immediately with few guards. The traffic today is bad, the senator hated traffic more than anything even his divorced wife. "Vincent, when i become the president, which i will definitely become, i'll do everything possible to stop traffic jam " he said "Sir i think you should focus on the power sector "Vincent advised "Dont worry am the change Nigerians need" the Senator said but vincent knows better.. 1 Like 1 Share |

CHAPTER 4 The Senator must have passed the venue five times yet, he was still not sure. Was this the building he had visited so often in the past? The building used to be a 2 storey building. This time he saw a 24 storey building. The old building was situated between two storied building, this one was so situated. But in spite of the feeling of certainty, Senator Adams had a vague suspicion that the building he had packed his car might be the wrong building after all. Could an absence of three years have blurred his memory so badly. The Senator had travelled out of the country after loosing the election the third time, he had lost so badly that he couldn't bear the shame. After a few moments of hesitation Senator Adams began to move toward the building and then stopped, as if held back by an invisible hand. His attention had been attracted by the Vice president's presence. Vincent rushed towards him. "Sir, isn't that the Vice president " Vincent asked. "Isn't it obvious? " the Senator hated irrelevant questions. "Sir,i suggest we go back " Vincent said. "Your free to go back" the Senator said as he walked towards the building. "Sir you don't know what the Vice president had planned " Vincent advised . "No plan can out smart mine" the Senator said with confidence as he walked through the door. The Senator shaked hands with the vice president, although he was nervous, he knew one the thing for sure "THE BIGGER THE FOE, THE HARDER THEY FALL" Mr Benjamin had always been the wisest man in politics, his wisdom had paved way for him and made him the most feared man. He is about 5.5 feet tall with light skin filled with hairs. "The conference room is ready" the security man walked them into the room. "So, Mr vice president what can your government boast of " Senator Adams asked "We reduced the poverty rate by 3% and also....." he was interrupted by senators laughter "Whats funny " Mr Benjamin asked "Why wont the poverty rate decrease when over 10% of the Northerners have lost their life's and properties to insurgency, am sorry to burst your bubble but you only controlled over population " the Senator said. The statement had hit the Vice president like a bomb, for the first time he felt powerless. Meanwhile the senator enjoyed every bit of the show. "We are trying our best to handle insurgency " Mr Benjamin said. "What do you have to say about the serial killer in Rivers state" the senator asked . "We are trying our best" Mr Benjamin said knowing that's not their obligation. " i heard the president closed down all the doll stores in Rivers state, is that your best" the Senator said jokingly. "That's a funny rumor " Mr Benjamin said. "The president's incompetence will kill us all " the Senator said. "What if the president manages to stop this serial killer ?" Mr Benjamin asked. "I doubt" the Senator said. "If these dead kids get the justice they deserve..... " "Then i will vote the president "the Senator interrupted.
