I read in one of the newspapers online yesterday that certain persons pose as philantropists,NGO reps approach families with children as young as 5 and especially orphaned young females in IDP camp, promise them better opportunities but end up trafficking them. The writer said someone did an undercover investigation and alleged that officials of the camp are aware ,that the chidren are sold at 50 thousand naira and that an official claimed the money is used to take care of others in the camp. Im wishing its not true, but if its true who do we approach to address this. |

OP, the Department of Child Services, Alausa is a good place to start. This is an allegation worth looking into, if for nothing but to confirm that no shady dealings are underway. |
