Corruption in Africa
Corruption has always been a branch of governance in Africa. The african economy with a population of over 1 billion lost 1.2 trillion to corruption between 1990 to 2007 with Nigeria taking the largest percetage, followed by South Africa and Egypt.


Corruption in Nigeria
It was ealier said that Nigeria leads in the league of corrupt country in Africa having lost 380 billion dollars to corruption between 1960 to 2007 as said by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and reported by the BBC. Do you know that $380b can buy:
225 Space Shuttles
795,115 Rolls Royce Phantoms
400m PC computers
32m primary school rooms
3,800kg rice for each Nigerian


Corruption under GEJ
It's no more news that over 100 billion dollars has been missing under GEJ's administration including $50b and $20b oil theft revealed by mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, though the senate committee denied this claim but "who is fooling who"?
GEJ would have been considered the most successful Nigerian president if this money were spent wisely and not stolen. He might even be considered the most generous leader ever in africa after Nelson Mandela, but reverse is the case.


What GEJ could have done with $70b:
Basing this analysis on only $70b out of the missing fund, Nigeria under GEJ can:

1. Build 70 Wembley Stadium: Wembley stadium is considered the best modern stadium in the world with over 80,000 capacity. The construction cost was £757 billion which is around 1 billion dollars. This means we can build 70 of it in Nigeria or even more considering the land tenur system in the country.

3. Generate over 70,000 mega watt: China some while ago built an hydro- power station of 6,000MW with $5billion which mean we could generate over 70,000MW if this money with stolen. Today we struggle with 2000MW.

4. Build 12 world trade centre: The new built world trade centre cost appoximately $4 billion. With this amount, Nigeria could build 12 of it. We could have it situated in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, etc.

The ASUU strike should tell you what priorities of Jonathan are. Jonathan was even threatening the professors that their jobs were on the line. Iyesom Wike was all over the map insulting everyone.

Think of how many refineries Nigeria could have built with dis money but all we get is ''no show''.

Come to think of it, all the money that should have been gotten from the partial removal of oil subsidy where is it today

And the minister for petroleum is telling us that to build a refinery is very expensive...

According to wikipedia, Abacha stole £5 billion, with the current exchage rate, this equals appoximately $8 billion, ten times of this has been missing under GEJ. This makes GEJ the all time leading looter in the history of federal republic of Nigeria.

You all are talking about d missing 70billion dollars and what it would have done which is very good.

Me and my younger brother decided to analyze the 21billion naira PDP raised for their campaign and how long it will sustain Nigerians.

just try and do the math, if a Nigerian spends extravagantly @ 50000 a day for one year it will amount to 18.25m multiply by 100 yrs and it sums up to 1.825billion divide 21billion by this amount and it will be sufficient for more than ten persons ...

Now begin to reduce the variables (50000naira daily, 100yrs) and your jaw will drop @ the number of persons that money will serve.

While senators are collecting 27m some other Nigerians are living with a daily budget of 160naira a day
