Match preview ......

Liverpool duo Philippe Coutinho and Raheem
Sterling should be fit despite limping off with
knocks on Saturday.
Lucas is ruled out after injuring his thigh at
the weekend but Adam Lallana could return
from a groin problem.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino may
name an unchanged side after reporting no
new injuries following their win in the North
London derby.
Alternatively, Nacer Chadli could be recalled
after coming on as a substitute in the last two
games.
The battle for Champions League qualification
is heating up, and Liverpool and Tottenham
are both in contention and on form.
With Liverpool unbeaten in eight league
games and Spurs suffering just one defeat in
12, this should be a fierce contest under the
lights at Anfield.
While Liverpool will have to put the frustration
of a goalless draw against Merseyside rivals
Everton behind them, Tottenham will hope to
carry the momentum of a memorable
comeback win in the North London derby .
I have been particularly impressed with
Tottenham, who have developed a resilience
and sense of character that has seen them
pick up 15 points from losing positions this
season.
And in Harry Kane they undoubtedly have the
Premier League's man of the moment.
Not only is he scoring goals, he is providing
an effective focal point for the team that has
too often been missing from Tottenham sides
in recent years.
Kane's tally of 12 league goals this season is
already more than the 11 that Spurs' top
scorer, Emmanuel Adebayor, registered in the
whole of last season.
Ten of those 12 goals have come from just
nine starts, giving Spurs the kind of quality
that is needed to secure Champions League
football.
But Kane's task will not be easy when he
comes up against a Liverpool defence
boasting four consecutive Premier League
clean sheets, and a team desperate not to
lose any more ground in the hunt for fourth
place.
In the technical area, you'll find two tactically
astute young managers willing to put their
faith in young players, with 19-year-old
Jordon Ibe, fresh from a successful loan spell
with Derby County, the latest to make an
impact.
Anfield has traditionally been an unhappy
hunting ground for Tottenham, with only six
wins in 71 league matches there, but in
hotshot Kane they might just have the young
gun to fire them to victory.
Head-to-head
Liverpool are looking for their fifth
consecutive win over Tottenham, having
lost just one of their last 20 Premier
League home matches against Spurs
(W13, D6, L1).
The Reds have scored 12 goals without
reply in their last three meetings with
Spurs.
Matches between Liverpool and
Tottenham have produced nine own
goals, the most in Premier League
history, with three of them being scored
by Jamie Carragher.
Liverpool
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last six
league games at Anfield (W3, D3), and
are the only unbeaten team in the top
flight in 2015.
But the Reds have won only four of their
last 11 Premier League home matches
(W4, D5, L2).
They have lost only one of their last 14
Premier League home matches on a
Tuesday (W9, D4) - a 1-0 defeat to
Fulham in 2012.
Steven Gerrard has scored five goals in
his last three league appearances on a
Tuesday, scoring in each match.
Against Everton, Brendan Rodgers won
his 184th point in what was his 100th
Premier League game in charge of
Liverpool. The only Liverpool manager
to have won more points in his opening
100 Premier League games in charge of
the club was Rafa Benitez with 186.
Tottenham
Spurs have won three of their last four
away league matches.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have won 12
points from goals scored in the final five
minutes of Premier League games this
season, twice as many as any other
side.
They have only won one of their last
eight Premier League away matches on
a Tuesday (D1, L6).
In the North London derby against
Arsenal, Harry Kane scored his 22nd
goal of the season in all competitions -
more than any other Premier League
player.
He now has 11 goals in his last 14
Tottenham appearances and is the
Premier League's top scorer in 2015
with seven goals.
Christian Eriksen and Eden Hazard are
the joint-leading Premier League
midfield scorers this season with nine
goals each.
