And i ask where?in Nigeria or where?

In the UK,NHS is free
A government should be able to make basic health care free for his people as long as the people pay their taxes. You can only pay with insurance if you make more in a year, but for any citizen health care is free.

I live in one and i know what i am talking about.

As long as the victim has an NHS number.

So a citizen of the UK will not have a NHS number? undecided

Wrong!even asylum seeker do have the right to it,as long as it is an emergency.

you obviously haven't heard of NHIS( National Health Insurance Scheme) which has been active for years.

I've heard of it but it is not for the general populace as to be applicable as in this case we are discussing.

True that. Its not for the general populace and its BS too. Does anything function in Nigeria as it should even? So far only St Nicholas Hospital seem to be the only thing functioning as it should in naija.

Hope he's fully regained his consciousness because those names he mentioned transverse from west/xtain to north/muslim.

True, his own name is a yoruba one and his siblings own are not?

hahahahaha...St Nicholas don enter one chance, I can assure you that no family member will show up until that guy is discharged. Even the guy sef use him head begin talk as him dey sleep under bridge and having no particular family member that he can call...lol...the bobo wise, I am sure that even in his unconsciousness, he must have calculated the high value treatment and care that was being given to him and just decided that there was no how he was going to let any family member bear the burden of the bills hence his amnesia and incoherent name dropping...lol

It should be recalled that Owolabi has been in coma following a fatal accident that injured 15 people on Third
Mainland bridge,VI,Lagos.Since then, his relatives have not showed up.

An accident is not fatal is no life was lost...

If only other hospitals can learn from this by making sure that lives are saved first before asking for money.
May God Almighty bless St. Nicholas Hospital.

What's so funny about a humanitarian deed..... undecided

Never ever trust a rich man's supposed humanitarian deed. St Nicholas isn't a piece of cake. Their management crazeee dieee. When my bro was admitted there, even as he was dying and we all were running helter skelter, the matron ensured a 500,000naira deposit was paid before he was admitted after obtaining a card of 18k. I find it amusing also cos it seem more like a trap to get the family to show so they pay something b4 the poor dude is being rejected or dumped to a befitting general hospital Marina for the poor..

The guy was just lucky. As in LUCK AT FIRST HAND. St Nicholas no be beans o. I once witnessed an occasion where accidental discharge gunshot victims were REJECTED. They were told point blank they had no facility to treat them except BENJAMINS was involved so dont waste ur prayers

Is he suffering from amnesia that he cannot give them his relatives details or he just doesn't want to because of the cost?

This is the problem with Nigeria, whereby in other country the health system is free and here we have to pay through our nose just to be alive.
Hmmmm....really?
