1.That four governors are working for the opposition should be no surprise. PDP no longer can reunite disaffected members with ease...the way it used to. And it isn't just governors....some Southern and Northern pols are still angry about the way primaries were conducted.

2.Buhari won't rule with an iron fist if he is elected. Democracy tends to make the office of the president weak. When OBJ wanted to pass laws as a army man....he just wrote out a decree. When he came back as a civillian.....first the law has to undergo reading in the National Assembly, then the law has to be voted on(then it has to be sent back to committee for refinement....) then it has to be passed by 2/3 of the Assembly. Before it gets to presido's desk .

If Buhari wants to bring Sharia....he needs to do constitutional amendment. And for that...he needs 2/3 of the state Assembly with 2/3 of the National Assembly...and he won't get that.(and attempts to bypass that process would lead to impeachment).

Democracy is more protocol laden than army rule.(eg...budget passage time!).Still....it is far better than army rule !

One thing about democratic rule....you just cannot pass anything like that. The Presidency under democracy is in a way subordinate to the National Assembly. (and if anything...the last 16 years have shown us that just because Mr President and the majority of the NA come from the same party does not mean it would be plain sailing. OBJ's third term bid was rejected in a NA dominated by PDP members.).

I see more disgrace coming on the PDP and their presidential candidate before and during the election. He (gej) is a traitor by not sticking with his words he said regarding him promising to serve for one term, this in will serve him no any good. It's what he sows. Asking those pdp governors that defected will tell you good reasons why they defected. A president should be a man of his word for once or rather he's should maintain silence, just like GMB now which he has gone mute on if he'll serve one or 2terms. Hence we can't quote him

I am surprise he still has supporters. He doesn't need to be shocked, he started the betrayal tactics. First, carrying out anti-party politics by supporting opposing parties (Edo, Anambra etc). He agreed to a single term and renegade on that agreement. The president has destroyed the PDP and if Buhari emerges as president, it is only the beginning of the end for PDP.

This same president is trying to divide nigeria. I have never seen a situation where ethnic division is staring at our faces so wide even though we collectively share the same problems. The president continues to mix religion with politics, dancing and giving aso rock press releases from churches. When the military were in charge, we only screamed based on the effect of their decrees, when Obasanjo was president, we insulted him not because he is a Yoruba man but because some policies were not people friendly. Jonathan - the division is just surprisingly shocking. People from the Niger delta can make utterances without the police inviting them for a chat.

The military now decides how to rig election for the benefits of a party and play decisive roles in politics. The police is required to shoot and ask questions later. Senior police officers embarrassing democratically elected officials. Military personnel holding siege and patrolling residences of members of the opposing party, while extra hands are required in sambisa forest.The president is taking us back to the period of dictatorship, simple and short.

I don't care if jonathan want to transform to an angel next term, he doesn't deserve our votes. He does not respect the rule of law.

It was gathered that an appraisal carried out by security agents and placed at the disposal of the ruling party clearly indicated that PDP would lose election in the affected states because of the activities of the governors.

The security agencies were busy running errands for PDP at the expense of gathering intelligence to secure us. Little wonder BK boys are having a swell time.
