Exhibit A is a Reuters photo by Mohammed Salem from yesterday (Jan. 4), captioned:

    A wounded Palestinian is brought into a hospital in Gaza January 4, 2009. Israeli sheels killed at least five Palestinian civilians and wounded 40 others when they exploded in Gaza City's main shopping area, medics and witnesses said.

Note the injured man's brown jacket, black short-cropped hair, black shirt, black jeans, lean build. Said to be injured, he appears to be dependent on the supporting medic as he is brought into the hospital.



Exhibit B is also a Reuters photo by Mohammed Salem from the very same day. The Reuters caption is:

    Palestinians react beside bodies in al-Shifa hospital in Gaza January 4, 2009. Israeli shells killed at least five Palestinian civilians and wounded 40 others when they exploded in Gaza City's main shopping area, medics and witnesses said.

Note the man squatting on the right. Note the brown jacket, black short-cropped hair, black shirt, black jeans, lean build. Note that there is no sign of injury and no sign of a supporting medic. What do you think? Is it the same man?

This looks like the same child to me. Besides the facial features, look at the (burn?) mark on her forehead, as well as the green and orange clothing.

Which begs the question. Why would there be two different pictures of the same child being carried in to hospital by different men?

Alternative explanation: the photographers took the two pics on the same day.  The first photo was taken with her father immediately after the incident, and the second one with her uncles after she had been dressed back up.  The photographers simply mixed the pictures up, happens a lot. Notice that her red sweater in the second pic is present in the first?

Your explanation is plausible, but it falls flat when the first picture is captioned by Reuters thus:A wounded Palestinian is brought into a hospital in Gaza January 4, 2009.

My own view is that the two men in brown jackets are probably not the same. On closer view, the man in the second picture seems to have trimmer haircut than the first.

You seem to miss the point. The question is not whether it is the same girl but whether this little girl is being exploited for ''Pallywood'' purposes. Pallywood is not so much about the outright invention of mangled victims as it is about the exploitation or willing participation of genuine victims in staged acts designed to maximise the gory effects.

Again, the captions state thus:

Are there innocent people dying in Palestine? Yes. Are there staged ''photo-ops'' whether with manufactured victims or real ones? Absolutely!

When US troops staged and videoed a rescue raid in an Iraqi hospital, it was not for lack of heroes or acts of heroism amongst US troops but for the simple fact that in the fog of war, many feel that their side of the story would be passed across better with a touch of over-dramatization.
