Sorry Buddy.
I think the basic reason is the battery specification of your phone. It's not just about getting a power bank here. You get the one that's compatible with your phone. Samsung galaxy S3 for example uses a battery spec of Li-ion 2100mAh. so you'll need a Power bank that's a little bit higher amps like 3000mAh and above.
With that I think you should be okay.
Power Bank has been in use for long and not only for China phone usage But all kinds of smartphones provided it's used correctly.

Maybe you haven't heard of mayor source power banks . Type it " mayor source power bank" on Google and see reviews. It's the best power bank in Nigeria as of today. It is very much affordable at #4000 for 12000mah with one year warranty.
