I don't have much info as per the student visa things but I would suggest that either you or your friend does the research. visit http://www.immi.gov.au/students/students/chooser/ and check to see which applies for him/her. Whereabouts in Brisbane are you?

Mister NRC:

Bros abi na Babe, wetin now, who vex you? Lonely?? SAD?? HUNGRY?? Haba! your significant half no follow you come?
Speak for your self and please don't generalize for all and sundry, Australia is the best place to be (apart from your home country-whichever way you see it),
See you around perhaps?

lol, Im surprised that you have been here so long and still feel compelled to defend your fellow Nigerians. Australia the best place to be? Ha! It was great, but I fear its changing- and not for the best. Enjoy my country while it lasts,

Its said that you can remove someone from a place but you cannot remove a place from someone,

@Opiacino: its not compulsion, its a choice. its my choice. yeah well the thing about staying in a foreign land sucks right, its like if you are abroad, you tend to miss the craziness back home and if you are back home you get to miss the "sanity" of living abroad. so it works for some and for others it doesnt. I guess I will enjoy this country to the best of my understanding/ability and like i asked, see you soon perhaps?

Re: Where Are Nigerians In Australia . by BestDad: 11:59pm On Dec 31, 2011
@Mr NRC, I can relate to that. Recall my first time in Melbourne years ago, got off plane onto tarmac and seem to have stepped into sub-zero climate shocked. Wasn't prepared one bit for Mebourne's weather embarassed. Had to head straight to shops to get jacket and jumpers grin.
BTW, hope you have changed your rego plate to Qld's? Victorians have a reputation of being bad drivers around here (ditto for Mexicans grin)

@Just101, I'll send you my number. Call me anytime for a chat smiley

@BestDad: Yeah I did. Sharp-Sharp too and i didn't even enjoy my driving time down in VIC, just calmed myself with the train service. It wasn't like I was even going anywhere except for weekends grin,

Hmmmmm, So I guess the Ambassador is imploring some of us to make the trip (all expenses paid by attendees) from individual states to Canberra for a chit-chat and his honourable "target" audience is Students with 3 days notice?.
Good Luck to him,

grin Thanks for the heads-up. grin
