What's the welfare package? If I'm gonna risk my life for a country, I need to know what I stand to gain apart from just wearing camo all about and slapping innocent civilians.

Top militaries of the world have the salary packages of army recruits clealy spelled out, nobody should come here & start talking about motivation based on empty stomach cos I know some Nigerians are sufferheads!

You dey mind them? It doesn't make any sense to pay for any service whether civil or military. I don't know why the portal can't be free and accessible to everyone. Betterstill, let them have physical recruitment centers like the American army where people go and get evaluated immediately.

I know the excuse they will give is that they're trying to streamline the application process, but there's no excuse for charging people who want to serve their fatherland. We have a long way to go as a Nation if things like these aren't fixed.

Soldiers are going AWOL, meanwhile appliications are already ongoing for their replacement... Because of unemployment and poverty, a lot will still apply. Hope the military glory willbe restored after the change in C-in-C in 3 months.

Honestly I think it's stupid having to pay to serve your fatherland. All these government agencies like army, navy, airforce and special forces should be free to join. The only criteria should be physical and mental fitness ....people bribe their way in to shoot at enemies...why wouldn't they run in the face of Boko Haram gunfire....

bullshit
