The Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao showdown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2 is on track to break various pay-per-view records, and it may likely break attendance records as well.

Although an announcement about ticket prices have not been made, Dan Rafael of ESPN suggests it may cost you a small fortune to be ringside for the one of the most anticipated fights in recent memory. According to Rafael, as few as 1,000 tickets — with the cheapest ticket being $1,000 — will be sold to the public. Highest-priced tickets will reportedly have a face value of $5,000.

Top Rank’s Bob Arum suggests that “nobody is going to get these tickets without paying for them,” and that if you’re a high-roller you’ll need at least a $250,000 credit line with MGM Grand to be considered for tickets.

This isn’t uncharted territory for Mayweather, as his bout against Canelo Alvarez in 2013 generated approximately $20 million in tickets sales to the MGM Grand Garden Arena — the gate record for a fight. This time around, the historic showdown between Mayweather and Pacquiao will reportedly look to generate $40 million in ticket sales.

If you rather watch the fight from your home or host a party for the event, pay-per-view will likely charge $99.99 for the fight in high definition, and $89.99 if you’re stuck in the past and are crazy enough to watch the fight in standard definition.
