The kidnappers of Rev. Phyllis Sortor an American mission at working with Hope Academy in Kogi has demanded the sum of N50million from the NGO.
Rev. Sortor was abducted from Hope Academy compound in Kogi around 10:00am on Monday. This was confirmed by the Free Methodist Church in a post on their website;
"Early this morning we received a report that Rev. Phyllis Sortor, our missionary in Nigeria, was abducted from Hope Academy compound in Emiworo, Kogi State, Nigeria by several persons"

Confirming the kidnap, Kogi State Police command said five gunmen, two wearing a mask, scaled the fence of the NGO's compound and kidnapped the reverend amidst sporadic gun fire.

Some Nigerians ehn, if Oyinbo comes with mopol, guns and sticks we will cry and complain about how they come here to lord it over us.
If they come as they are, with passion to help our poor, we kidnap them and make them fear comming back to help us.
