Good day people, am really in needs of your advice
and kindly tell me what steps to take. Well, there's a
girl I met on the internet, we have been dating each
other for a long time, she's an American and she
wanted me to come to the state to live there with
her, she promise to send me an invitation letter and
some other documents. Pls, advice me, which type
of visa am I gonna apply for? Would immigration
officer accept her to be my sponsorer and to take
care of my accomodation? Thanks.

Wrong forum! Are you pregnant or your internet girlfriend pregnant? Please, kindly open a new thread for this your question! Thanks

Hello nairalanders,
Pls I need help on finding good n cheap hospital to have my baby in tennesse, Nashville as it's the only state I have a host.
Also want to seek opinion about my plans. During the interview at the embassy we were asked reason for our visit to us and we said easter holiday wasn't asked if I was expecting though but we were asked of possible plan to av baby there and we said no. When we got home we realised that wasn't a good one as I was expecting and later gave it a thot the idea wasn't bad at all.
We went for our holiday, got to POE and we were asked reason for entry and we said holiday, was also asked if I was expecting and I said yes so the officer stamped my husband and baby and told me to step saside and I was taken into an office where I was asked for my purpose of visit, aw many weeks am I, where I was going to and aw much I had for the visit.
The officer told me if I had my baby on that trip that the consequence is denying me entry into the
country subsequently. Told him my family is on holiday but I would love to come and av my baby later on, he stated that he will note all our discussions for future reference and I agreed and emphasised on coming back to av my baby.
He stamped my passport and released me.
Pls what do you think.??

My dear make sure you leave the US and return back to have your baby, When you go back to your country of residence (from where you applied for your visa) write a letter of Change of intent to the embassy, in your letter make sure you state you have gone for your holiday and now intend to go have your baby there. Make all arrangements by having your doc's appointment and finance ready for proof just incase you are called upon.

Hello Peeps,

Please I have a question. At the embassy I stated I was going to have my baby in New Jersey but I changed my mind later on to go to Colorado to stay with my aunt.

Will I have an issue at the POE?

Dollar black market is 205 as of today I just confirmed it, so annoying to get a mail from GTB saying, daily cash withdrawal limit for the Naira MasterCard has also been reduced to $300 per day. The new limits for both spending using Naira MasterCard and cash withdrawal abroad has been reduced from $2,500 to $300 per day. This is crazy, this is not good at all, imagine one has to pay her medical bills, GTB ATM won't work anymore. Please can anyone confirm this new development on GTBank Mastercard or any other bank Mastercards heard is CBN new policy. If this is true it means we are better off traveling with cash and means we have to start looking for dollar to buy. cry

Yes that's the new CBN policy which is said to reduce pressure on the Naira..
It applies to all banks, not restricted to GTB.
The policy isn't friendly to us at all, better to just travel with cash.
God will see us through

So i had my princess last week @ MoBap, yayyyy
I got a few mails asking for information for missouri baptist, I guess there is no hidden charge.
You are entitled to 2 nights after delivery, even if you give birth 3am or 12 noon, you are entitled to sleep 2 full nights. My doctor gave me a pain killer to numb my below (since I won't take epidural ) He said I should tell them to call him if they ask me to pay, but we are covered for "pain medications" wasn't just sure of that one. All blood test covered. We declined the hearing test. It's 50 dollars. You get your birth certificate in 2 working days, the birth certificate clerk would expidite it.we didn't pay. We just requested for the passport this week. They said 8 workings days (2 week's ). Pediatricians fee is 200, he would come and check your baby 3 times, supposed to be 260, but he was kind enough to collect 200. First office visit ( out of hospital ) is 130, it's not compulsory. It's like the 1 week follow up, I had concerns bout somethings so I went. Doctor, hospital and labs remains the same. Ssn comes In less than two week, same with zero balance.
I have tested and seen that the water is clean * wink*

A piece of advise for future moms, it might help someone.

Please do not decline the hearing test. I had my baby on March 1 and had every intention of declining the hearing test cos of the cost, but I was told that it is mandatory in the state of Florida and you can't decline (the state covers the cost).

Anyways, my baby was tested and she failed. We were asked to do a more extensive test and booked the appt for April 14th. This test cost $304 and they discovered that my daughter has hearing loss in both ears and will be needing hearing aids.

Although this isn't news any parent wants to hear, i'm grateful to God that we weren't given an option to decline the test. It's costing us a lot more than planned cos we have to see all these specialists, but thank God it was detected early enough.

I'm not sure what would've happened if we didn't do it and went back to Nigeria just like that.

So please, as you all plan for your birthing trips, make sure to budget for the hearing test. You never know what will happen.

Dear DeeandGLady,
The CBN policy affects all banks, but I think it pertains to the regular mastercard alone because my prestige/platinum mastercard from FBN still allows 300k equivalent on a daily basis.

In all my dear, cash is the koko. A bird in your hand.............

You can pay your bills/shop online and via pos as long as you don't exceed $50,000 a year.

If you want to use atm to withdraw cash, den you can only withdraw $300 in a day.

It's the new cbn directive for all banks.
