Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is back in training following a hamstring injury but is unlikely to be risked. Glen Johnson has overcome illness and Mamadou Sakho is nearing a return after a hip problem, but Jordon Ibe remains out with a knee injury. Burnley manager Sean Dyche has no new injury concerns and could once again name an unchanged starting line-up. Matthew Taylor is still out following Achilles surgery, while Dean Marney and Kevin Long are out for the season. Liverpool are the Premier League's only unbeaten side since the turn of the year and Saturday's excellent win over Manchester City served further notice of their intent as serious players in the race for Champions League football next season. This match will be a very different test for Brendan Rodgers' in-form team though. Whereas City came to play and take them on toe-to-toe, Burnley will look to deny time and space and, on their day, are more than capable of making life difficult for the top sides. They managed it only a couple of weeks ago with a 1-1 draw away to Chelsea and also took a point from the Etihad Stadium in a 2-2 draw with Manchester City just after Christmas. It's been quite some turnaround for Liverpool over the last two-and-a-half months or so and they go into the midweek fixtures just a couple of points behind fourth-placed Manchester United. The manager has found a tactical formula that works and Saturday's win was their sixth in the last seven league games. They are unbeaten in the last 11, a run stretching all the way back to the 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford in the middle of December. This game is the start of a really tough- looking run of fixtures for Burnley, who face teams from the top seven in each of their next five matches. The Clarets are only in the bottom three on goal difference at the moment, but will be anxious to still be in touch when they emerge from this sequence of games in the middle of next month. Their form somewhat mirrors their opponents, only in reverse. Sean Dyche's men have won just once in 11 league games dating back to mid-December, and the 2-1 victory at Stoke back in November remains their only success on the road all season. Head-to-head Liverpool have won all three Premier League meetings, scoring nine goals without reply. The Reds have won their last seven home meetings with Burnley in all competitions, keeping a clean sheet on each occasion. The Clarets' last league win over Liverpool was by 1-0 at Anfield in September 1974. Liverpool Liverpool are unbeaten in 11 league games, and have won six of their last seven. They are the Premier League's form team in 2015 with 20 points from eight matches (W6, D2). The Reds have drawn five of their home league games this season, more than any other side in the top half of the table. Brendan Rodgers' side have kept five clean sheets in their last seven Premier League games. Burnley Burnley have won just one of their last 11 league matches (D4, L6) and failed to keep a clean sheet in that period. The Clarets are winless in seven away matches. Their only away win this season was a 2-1 triumph at Stoke in November. They have conceded 45 league goals, the division's joint-worst tally with QPR. Sean Dyche's side have conceded 16 headed goals, the most in the Premier League this season. Reported Liverpool target Danny Ings has scored five goals in his last eight Premier League games. http://m.bbc.com/sport/football/31616985 |

A highly unlikely but hopeful slip-up by Arsenal and Man Utd would put us just behind City. #YNWA |
