Buhari or Jonathan, he ponders
Neither will truly bring the change he desires, he sighs
For one was a dictator ,the other a lecturer
Dictators,he muses,hardly have respect for the rule of law and lecturers are hardly any good outside the four walls of a university.
For one believes in fiats, the other believes in the potency of academic theories(theories that often prove to be a ruse in reality)
One is a so-called anti - corruption crusader, the other, seems not to be in agreement with the globally accepted definition of corruption.
One is perceived to be a religious bigot, the other is seen as a lover of god(s)
One's wife seem to have the trappings of the great Empress Katrina of the old Russian empire, the other's wife seem to personify docility
One boasts of a Ph.D certificate, the other's WAEC certificate seems to be in limbo
One is rumored to be a winebibber, the other a teetotaller
One seems to believe laws are meant for man, the other seems to believe man is meant for the law
Amidst all the schemings however, this writer has made up his mind
And alas! only the belly of the ballot box he casts his vote in,will know his choice.
