A non-profit organisation, Transparency Network has called on the Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to investigate the Chairman of the House Public Accounts Committee, Hon. Adeola Solomon Olamilekan over reports of the latter’s “politically-sponsored blackmail” on the petroleum ministry, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and its subsidiaries. A statement issued on Tuesday by the Executive Director of the Abuja-based non-profit organisation, Dr. Yahaya Bello also accused the House committee chairman of “economic sabotage” as a result of his series of “unsubstantiated” corruption allegations on the petroleum ministry.
