I expected Jonathan to be used as a scape goat here even when he was the one that gave Jega a free hand to come up with ideas that would ensure a free and fair elections.

Jonathan is a clean and humble man ,he has nothing to hide .

I must say that our "leaders" are making mockery of us to the world! Please how on earth did we choose these retards as representatives? An average intelligent person will know that this is one of the jokers PDP has to stop INEC from the use of the card reader. I think we should all stop this win @ all cost mentality and think about what we are doing to the image of this great country! How can pple we call our leaders say they will prefer to use old methods when there are better improved ways of doing things? What is most painful is that we the youth who are suppose to be knowlegeable will come on social media to defend this disgrace all in d name of supporting political parties. Its a shame!

This is really interesting. This scenario is like a student who chose a university and was offered an admission and was matriculated. Then the university authority said to do exams, you need to show your ID card at exam hall. Then the student said no and threatened with leaving the university. The question is Who Cares?

Let them withdraw..... All those mushroom parties

They claim INEC hasn't tested with mock elections. Fortunately, INEC is planning on carrying out mock elections in 12 states. I hope PDP will not sabotage efforts of the card readers in their states just to discredit the technology.

Their reasons are somewhat reasonable. We need to get acquainted with the modalities of this card reader first. This is a crucial election. No room for any form of TESTING.
Re: 15 Parties, Five Presidential Candidates May Boycott Elections by jimmayoy: 7:02pm On Mar 04, 2015
Inec has the right to conduct elections and any party has the right to pull out, house have accepted the use of card reader, whoever that is sponsoring this unpopular idea is only wasting our resources.I thought PDP said they ll win over 90% of votes casted, never knew they are still jittery.PDP is becoming more and more unpopular by the day.

Kzinne:
Fifteen political parties and five presidential aspirants have threatened to pull out of the forthcoming general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11 over the use of card reader device.

The Spokesperson for the group and National Chairman, Advanced Congress of Democrats, Dr. Breakforth Onwubuya, at a press briefing on Wednesday in Abuja, said the concept of using card readers for the coming elections, as being planned by Independent National Electoral Commission, “has a lot of implications which may negatively impact on the conduct of a credible, free and fair elections.”

He said, “The first drawback is that this device is relatively a new technology that has not been tested or tried in a kind of mock election or previous formal elections prior to this time. This would have enabled the nation and the electoral umpire itself to properly ascertain its workability and efficiency in the conduct of the real general elections.

“The decision by INEC to commence the test-run of the use of Card Readers in some of select states across the country on Saturday March 7, 2015, just less than three weeks to the commencement of the re-scheduled election, would not provide the commission enough time to rectify whatever anomaly that would likely arise from that exercise.”

APC must realise that it was not Nigeria's fault that an illegitimate Buhari was chosen as the APC candidate

They must accept Buhari's imminent disqualification in accordance with the law with the grace it deserves

They must stop trying to scuttle the process just because Buhari will soon be disqualified by the courts!
