Do you noticed that the strength of the team was in the midfield??..
Amuneke team was just too predictable, the buck rest on the shoulders of the team captain.
Amuneke team lacks depth, compatability, tactical and technical swervy..
Manu garba squad were goal poachers. They scored over a 120 goals in their campaigns both in friendlies and competitive matches. They have a record of the highest scoring U17 side in the world . same cannot be said of this present squad because they are not clinical in front of goal. Have you forgotten that after the injury to Isaac Success, Taiwo Awoniyi lace up his boot and notched 4 goals..
Marc O Marc of the V. O. A visited all the teams participating in the tournament in 2013 and gave his findings to Sunny Young that the Nigerian team will lift the trophy. He said it with confidence and the team proved his findings right by demolishing Mexico tournament favourites 6-1 who they also defeated in the finals 3-0..can same be said of the team Amuneke has assembled?? .
So far so good, coach Amuneke had been given every thing he needs to succeed, he has no excuse to fail Nigerians.
