Once again we have been alerted to another disturbing utterance that was made by the First Lady, Patience Jonathan, at her campaign in Kogi State, today.
Nigeria's First Lady, who we condemned a few hours ago for asking her supporters in Calabar to stone anyone that promises change has continued her hate message against the All Progressives Congress (APC) today, while campaigning in Kogi State.
According to news reports, the First Lady who is often referred to as "Mama Peace," while speaking today, propelled her supporters not to vote for APC Presidential candidate as he his "brain dead"
She said: "Wetin him dey find again? Him dey drag with him pikin mate. Old man wey no get brain, him brain don die pata pata, "
"you vote Buhari, Na your prison; if you vote APC, na your wahala."
This recent speech by President Goodluck Jonathan's wife follows another where she was recorded telling her followers "our people no dey born shildren wey dem no dey fit count. Our men no dey born shildren throway for street. We no dey like the people for that side."
Might we remind Patience Jonathan that the position of First Lady is unconstitutional and there is certainly nothing peaceful in her recent utterances against General Muhammadu Buhari. In fact, we view this recent speech as public promotion of violence and disorder.
The First Lady in her statement in Calabar will like us (APC supporters) stoned. But, let Mrs Jonathan be reminded that we will not allow her to continue to make this sort of violence inspired speeches towards our great party.
We call on Patience Jonathan and her aides to abide with the terms of the peace accord signed in Abuja and engage in issue-based campaigns similar to APC’s issue-based campaigns across Nigeria and in the United Kingdom.
As the First Lady continues to let her guard down, Nigerians can see the real ‘madam war’. There is nothing peaceful about her and we call on our leaders here, David Cameron, PM; Ed Miliband of the Labour Party to take note of how members of the first family of Nigeria are abusing their position and inciting violence against
Nigerians.
These acts of abuse of power would definitely lead both President Jonathan and his wife to the ICC. Should they fail to respond to our calls for an issue-based campaign, we will rally and push till they are summoned to appear at The Hague after losing the forthcoming elections.
Once again, we would like to remind the First Lady that Nigerians are living under a constitutional democracy and we demand an end to the intimidation of our supporters who have decided to vote for change.
