It is exactly 38 days after Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele threatened to sue Blogger, Linda Ikeji over what was perceived to be a malicious publication but the matter has not been brought up before the courts.

This inspite of the open disdain by the celebrity blogger to the conditions handed by the actress’ lawyers, Legal Aficionados that she permanently deletes the publication from her blog and publish a retraction within 24 hours.

Legal Aficionados in a widely circulated letter dated January 25th which was addressed to the blogger called attention to a post tagged Did Funke Akindele Shade Toyin Aimakhu?

The strongly worded statement clarified that the said instagram post was directed at two relatives of the actress instead of her colleague as insinuated by the blogger.

When www.expressng.com reached Yetunde Okulaja of Legal Aficionados, she revealed that the matter is under her client’s review and will soon proceed to the courts.

“We are waiting on the directive of our client and once she gives us the go-ahead, we will file papers,” she said.

There have been insinuations that the case may have been settled before it came up before a competent court of jurisdiction but Legal Aficionados differed. According to law firm, a court case will commence at appropriate time.

Pressed further on the delay in the process, she referred us to the actress’ manager and sister, Ayo Ola Mohammed. But efforts to reach her has proved abortive.
