anayochukwu = We implore (beg) unto God
ogochukwu = God's kindness
kikachukwu = Ginikachukwu? (Gini ka chukwu) What is greater than God? Onyekachukwu = Who is greater than God?
chidalu = Thank God.
abumere = Obumneme? = Literally, am I the one doing [great things]? Rendered more properly as, 'it is not of my doing'.
kenechukwu = Thank God. Or Kelechi. Kene/Kele is the Igbo verb for 'thank' and the noun (thanks) is 'ekene'.
Eziwanyi or eziwanne( not sure) = Ezinwanyi = Good woman, Ezinwanne = good sibling.
Obiora = Heart (obi) of the people (ora)
Obinna = Heart(obi) of the father (nna)
Ndubuisi = Life (ndu) is (bu) important (isi).

Thank you @big francis. God bless yah hustle. I happen to have lots of igbos and naija deltans as friends.

It's a very old name, though. I think, before the Christians missionary reached the east Nigeria. It's replaced with Chibuikem, meaning "God is my strength"

Isn't it funny that you don't know the meaning of these names, or ain't you Yoruba? grin

Lol I do know what some of them are but I just want to check to make sure I do. Like I know Babatunde means Father has returned. Folashade means crown of wealth and Olanrewaju means my wealth is moving forward. And know the rest as well.

I just wanted to make sure that is what it means as I only understand some Yoruba not a lot. I am not that fluent.

I just met Temitope on Naira who has been teaching me Yoruba (in sentences) on whatsapp.

So yh its cool.

Yoruba for lyfsmiley
