Did you consider that the time frame in which this patriarchs lived is not exactly sub sequential after another? But intertwined within specific time and age of there existence or at which they were given birth to. For example you are in existence and fully grown I believe, Buhari is 72 and am sure you are not up to 30 yet but lets assume u are 30 we cant add up your age and that of Buhari and try to compare it within the time frame or time line of you both existence though the sum up might be a 102 years but the time frame of you both can not be up to 100 years or even 80 because there is an overlap between your age and Buhari's.

If you can still calculate, you would notice the error, by the way, try to reason this time and not just saying whatever that pops into your brain.

You obviously didn't understand the point Maamin was making.

Adam was 130 when he gave birth to Seth (Gen 5v3). And Adam died at the age of 930 (Gen 5v5).

Meaning that Adam was still alive for the first 800 years of Seth's life. Seth was 800 when Adam died. And Seth died at the age of 912 (Gen 5v8).

So for you to get the time frame that elapsed between when Adam was born to the time Seth died. You can't get it by adding Adam's age to Seth's age (930 + 912). That will presume that Seth was born after Adam died. But Adam was only 130 when Seth was born.

So if Adam was 130 when Seth was born and Seth lived for 912 years. The total time frame will be:

130 + 912 = 1042

Not;

930 + 912 = 1842

Also Seth was 557 years and Adam was 687 years when Methuselah was born; meaning that Seth still lived for the first 355 years of Methuselah's 969 years

So the total timeframe between when Adam's birth and Methuselah's death would be:

130 + 557 + 969 = 1656

Not;

930 + 912 + 969 = 2811

Their lifetimes intersected, some lived in eachother's lifetimes. So you can't get the correct total timeframe by adding up the age they died. That will give you a wrong overbloated figure.

I gave an account of a christian cult asserting the earth to be 6000 years old....you asked follow up questions on that(which is a normal thing to do), then went on to ask for "evidence" in the "bible" from someone who doesn't hold that belief(which is me)...
