unconfirmed report has it that 2000 core staff of First Bank Nigeria Plc are set to be disengaged nationwide. The conditions set for the disengagement are;
- Staff who are 20 years and above have been asked to go.
- Staff who are 5 years and above in the bank and 50 years of age and above have been asked to go
- Couple who both work in the bank have been asked to voluntarily identify themselves. In this case, if the couples voluntarily do that, one person will be asked to go, but if the bank fishes them out themselves, both couples will be sacked.
This is very unfortunate, another 2000 about to be added to the already saturated labour market. No thanks to the harsh economic crunch.
