You're supposed to lay a wooden spoon over the top of a your pots to prevent spillover when things boil. The wooden spoon can take more heat than its plastic counterparts and it pops the steam bubbles.

You're supposed to hold the "door close" button on the elevator while you choose your floor. It will go straight to that floor without stopping. Ok, you're actually not supposed to do that but this hacks works on most elevators
