Harvard Law School, one of the most prestigious
institutions of its kind in the world, has posted
a verse of the Holy Quraan at the entrance of
its faculty library, describing the verse as one of
the greatest expressions of justice in history.

Verse 135 of Surah Al Nisa (The Women) has
been posted at a wall facing the faculty’s main
entrance, dedicated to the best phrases
articulating justice:

“O you who have believed, be persistently
standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah ,
even if it be against yourselves or parents and
relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is
more worthy of both. So follow not [personal]
inclination, lest you not be just. And if you
distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it],
then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do,
Acquainted”

According to a Saudi daily, a Saudi student who
studies at Harvard first highlighted the
development when he published a picture of the
display on his Twitter page.

“I noticed that the verse was posted by the
faculty of law, which described it as one of the
greatest expressions for justice in history,”
Abdullah Jumma said.

Established in 1817, Harvard is the oldest
continually-operating law school in the United
States and is home to the largest academic law
library in the world. Among its alumni is US
President Barack Obama and a host of
influential journalists, writers, media and
business leaders and even professional athletes.
According to its official website, The Words of
Justice exhibition is a testimony of the
endurance of humanity’s yearning for fairness
and dignity through law. “The words on these
walls affirm the power and irrepressibility of
the idea of justice.”

There are approximately two dozen quotations
on display in the art installation created by the
Law School. The three most prominently
displayed at the entrance of the art
installation, are quotes from St. Augustine, the
Holy Quraan and the Magna Carta. According to
the Harvard Law School these quotations
illustrate the universality of the concept of
justice throughout time and cultures.

Quotations were selected from a pool of over 150
contributions from law school faculty, staff and
students. Librarians at the Law School Library
researched the historical context and
authenticity of each quotation and developed a
website to share this research with visitors to the
art installation.

Naah. It is just good to know that there are more intelligent, knowledgeable, academic groups of humans somewhere who are wise enough to see the light, if only partial glimmerings here and there. It shows that there is hope yet for humanity.

So if harvard labelled an Islamic verse "the greatest expression of justice" therefore it's true?

If you believe that as the case, what would you say about the scientific director of the Manhattan project(the project responsible for the first nuclear bomb, thus issuing the nuclear age), whom quoted hindu scripture as an expression of the nuclear bombs' explosive power?....would that make it "true" too?

The two analogies are not comparable. However, looking at the Hindu quotation, it does aptly (in a metaphoric way) describe the power of atomic bombs. It will therefore make that statement of the Hindu scriprures true to a certain extent. However, the radiance of the bomb is NOT anywhere like the Splendor of the Mighty One; if the Creator is intended.

BTW, get things straight. We know without the Havard statement, that it is true. We just point out that it is good that scholars recognize the Truth.

Really now? regarding atomic bombs in light of hindu scripture is not the same as regarding justice in light of Islam? Do tell us how they differ..
It will therefore make that statement of the Hindu scriprures true to a certain extent.
Really now? so what isn't it true for then?

However, the radiance of the bomb is NOT anywhere like the Splendor of the Mighty One; if the Creator is intended.
So you have a value? Because one can't make comparison of radioactivity without numbers...

How did you come about that conclusion and does it give credit to allah in any way?

"Kaffirs" always says the truth be it black or white. Be it advocating some few good parts of the Qu'ran or BASHING mohamed for the evils he committed which formed the greater portion of the hadith and the qu'ran. Muslims should learn that "kafirs" are not blinded by evil teachings of a negatively possed mind but stand for truth as upheld by morals.

That's a lie. Some are truthful. Many (esp evangelicals) are not. The Havard group are probably atheists, as are most smart people in xtian majority nations.

You talk about atheists, morally speaking, atheist stand a better chance than moslems because they are guided by moral justice. The only and the most essential thing which they lack is the believe of the existence of GOD.
On the other hand, christains believe there is God as pointed out in the scripture and experienced in our everyday life through love of one another and the love of God but on the contrary, I doubt the god the muslims worship since all that god preaches is destruction, fight, killing, rape, stealing etc of neighbor's (unbelievers)

hmm, how does the inscription help to stem the violence been carried out by isis, who also rely on the koran also. Oh oh it seems that they have gotten a sigh of relieve from the inscription of koran since isis and its likes have made rubbish the koran as a religion of peace.
