Pls help: i was using my MTN sim in my E51 then all of a sudden it shows sim card registration has failed and stopped working on the phone whenever the phone is on, It's always on an ofline mode, but the funny thing is that the same sim works in my 1110 properly and other MTN sims work on the E51. CVould it be because the sim was retrieved after the original one got misssing? PLS help i don't need a new sim card

Remove ur battery n clean ur phone very wel wit tissue, xpecial where u insert ur sim. Then also clean d back n front of ur sim card very wel. B careful so u dont scratch it.

it has happen to me.with zain sim.do you know how i solved the problem?i dash one of my friend the zain sim.pls note:it has nothing to do with your sim swap.maybe,the phone is tired of that particular sim.

It has hapend 2 me b4,i bought a new sim wth a N70 when insertd d new sim workd well,but wen i remove d sim and put in my N73 it say sim registrtn failed,now d N70 as only dual mode and Gsm mode on it network mode and d sim works fine on it on both mode,while d N73 as UMTS, DUAL MODE AND GSM MODE,Wat i noticd was dat d sim wil say registratn faild on both umts and dual mod on N73,while it wil register on GSM Mode, so wat u nid to do is try to change ur network mode to GSM MODE AND LETS SEE IF ITS WORKS, I ALSO THINK UR SIM IS D MTN SIM PLUS CARD NOT D ODINARY SIM

@semidaraeb i only know of two modes which my phone use, that is offline mode and the sim mode could u pls tel me if and how i can put my phone on this GSM MODE you're talking about.

It happened 2 me yesterday, on my mtn 0803, i no ready 2 by nu sim, how i wan do am?

@jamez3du didn't say the type of phone u use. but for my E51 i put in another working sim card went to tools- settings - phone- network- then chose UMTS mode then put in the mtn sim and c if it works. goodluck

@semidareb thanks for ur help. i finally found the modes and UMTS mode worked a me

Gyz i use n3110c, i discovered dat its batry, wen i change my batry, it stopped showin it, d former battry, was thin, wen i used it 4 d 1st time, it showed sim reg fail, its lyk, d sim was havin partial contact.
