This man Allardyce, has had every chance in the English league to win something with 4 Premier league sides since 1999. He has been given space, chance, respect, time, etc. Yet, he has won nothing. A very average coach. Will he come to Nigeria for the paltry $300,000 per annum they are offering Keshi? When he can remain in the UK with his current package including newspaper deals, etc of 10 times that amount.
By claiming they don't have money, the NFF has effectively boxed themselves into corner. There are only 3 candidates available to them apart from Keshi;
1. Siasia
2. Amokachi
3. Shuaibu
The Government will not allow them to bring in a foreign coach if they are going to pay him more than what they offering Keshi except that coach is BETTER than Keshi. Meaning the coach must have won a Continental trophy and got to the last 16 of the World Cup.

@AOB1963,allardyce is an established EPL manager and to an extent respected,he could also be said to have managed african players in the past. As for his lack of silverware,newcastle is the biggest club he's managed.I doubt if he'll take the super eagles job though

An established mid to lower table (very average) Premiership manager. He coached Newcastle, Bolton, West Ham and Blackburn. He will be a very expensive bad choice for the NFF. However, I am certain that the Government/National Sports Commission will not approve the engagement. If the NFF did not spend the time between January 2013 and November 2014 (almost 2 years!!!) trying to sabotage, embarass and disrupt Keshi, if they had given him the support required, all this nonsense about Big Sam will not even arise.
They claimed they could not afford to keep Okpala, they could not afford for Keshi and Amokachi to travel out to watch and monitor players, they could not afford for them to undertake FIFA refreshers, they could not even afford to pay their salaries on time but are now prepared to pay Allardyce at least $3,000,000 a year!!
Are we really serious? Maybe it is foreign football administrators we need to run our football. Administrators who can achieve great results at a budget. Nigerian football supporters should be wake up!
