Look at the Japanese Yen.. It does not look very valuable either.. The UK pound is higher value than the US$ ,but the US$ has more total currency value flowing out in the world.. Even china is holding US$ as a good portion of its economic power.. Many nations hold US dollars while other nations simply use US$ as their only currency...Panama, ElSalvador and Ecuador to name a few..
Its not really how it compares to other currencies, but how much of it is in circulation... US$ is the most circulated...
Japan is #3 or #4 economy in the world and their currency rates as low value.. How is that possible? Because they circulate huge amounts of the currency there and do it in a way that balances out for their high GDP behind the currency.. Japan salaries in the millions per annum is very common and actually needed to survive there...
People need to focus on the value they put into their labor force along with the goods and services they create.. Then it wont matter what the rate of exchange is, only the amount in circulation...

I am not here to abuse anyone. Ghana is my second home. The first time I traveled to Ghana, I exchanged 1000 cedi, I was given 120k when their economy was good. Later 1000cedi became 100k naira, now 1000ghana cedi is 80k last travel. And anyone earning earning 1000cedi = 100k naira. Please don't abuse cos am based on facts. Ghanians prefare naira. Togo is useless likewise cotonuo.
