The minimum wage in Ghana is 6 Cedis a day and 186 cedis a month if the average Ghanaian were to work the full 31 days in a month.

Now, seeing that the Cedi exchanges at 54.51 to the Naira, by the time you multiply 186 by 54.51, you still have 10,138.86 Naira as the minimum wage in Ghana, excluding taxes and other deduction, while here in Nigeria, our minimum wage is N18,000 for a civil servant who works for just 22 days in a month.

So, while it will take an average Ghanaian some 53.7 months or four years and five months to earn 10,000 cedis which is the equivalent of 545,100 Naira, a Nigerian with a minimum wage of N.18,000 a month can actually earn this amount in 30 months and two weeks or two years, six months and approximately three weeks.

So chilax bro as we are far ahead of Ghana in this race to become a billonaire.

Actually, what you have just proved is that the Ghanian currency is better than ours. . .

from your post quoted above,

i) the minimum wage in Ghana for a 31 day monthly period is #10,138.86. . .while

ii) the minimum wage in Nigeria for same 31 day monthly period is #25, 363.64 (according to you, #18, 000 is for 22 days, so I calculated for 31 days)

the "minimum" wage is synonymous to "survival" wage. . .

which invariably implies that a Ghanian worker can survive/derive satisfaction for a month on just #10, 138.86. . .however

a Nigerian worker would survive/derive same satisfaction for a month with #25, 363.64

a Nigerian is expected to and will have to spend more within the same period

this is the level of poverty saying Agege is better than Shoprite bread just list the ingredent in Agege bread and list that of shoprite bread then you see you are far from it, its like saying you buy true legion jean in Nigeria 5000 and you go go their agent shop and see the pattern for 20000 and say both are same wash the jean then you know they are not

Guy, its the cheapest as far as an average SA is concern.. They don't hype shoprite the way we hype it here in naija..

Its lower quality and affordable... You can buy smaller bread at a more expensive price at other confectionery stores...

That's why I mentioned shoprite to be precise so as to measure the quality with Agege...

Same loaf of albany sells for almost #250.

Well, I don't have to tell you my level of education neither do I have to disprove ur "level of poverty" speech.

Maggi noodle (indomie noodle) sells for 4rand (#60) but it sells for #35 here.

Guy, you're confused

The Cedis is higher than the Naira.

One Cedis is #54.51

2billion Cedis is over a hundred billion Naira.
Guy abeg, how u take do dis calculation? I mean hw's 0.019 = 54.51?

You should know that the Naira is not stable

The exchange rate I used was not the same as the OP

That's where the discrepancy is.
