*These steps aren’t rocket science, and on the surface they aren’t that difficult. But they’re not that fun, and that’s probably why this advice is often spurned.

*Many young people suffer from what Galston calls a “magical outlook”: ask them what they’ll be doing ten years from now, and they talk about having a nice house, a great entertainment system, a fancy car, trips to the Caribbean, and more, but they don’t do anything in the here and now to give this a chance of happening. Our kids are taught to dream, but not to do.

*Study hard in school while learning a trade, business or skill. After that, take a job or start a career in your chosen field, trade or business. Even if the job is not so well-paid, you can still gain one or two reasonable and valuable experience. Don’t wait for your dream job, but get the experience that 'small' job offers. Minimum wage jobs may not be fun, but they’re usually short-term and can lead to better jobs in the future. Those who are willing to work, even for less money than they would like, find themselves more employable down the road. You can work while developing your skills!

*Don’t have a baby without getting married. For the young men, don't impregnate a girl when you are not ready and strong to take responsibility for extra mouths that you would need to feed and toil for. Marry wisely!!! Marry someone who can help you build a lovely home and strong financial base together. She should be into one profession, trade or business. Don't marry an idler or a woman who has nothing to bring to the table or nothing to be celebrated for (Except for her 'pretty' face, big boo.bs and as.s). When you hear of Chimamanda Adichie, what comes to your mind first? A sex figure? NO!!! A woman with a robust intelligence and a high level of creativity. Your would-be spouse should not just be seen as a sex figure to suit you as a life-partner! Not one who might just turn out to be a parasite and time-waster. For the young women, don't marry a loafer please!!! Don't marry a man who is lazy and does nothing but collects money from you for his little needs! It is an embarrasment!!! Stir clear of abusive men who would want to turn you to a punching bag! Any man that is in his mid-twenties and above, still living with his parents, not doing anything and doesn't have plans of improving his life and leaving his parents' house, should be your NO GO AREA!!!

*Stay out of trouble. And that’s it. Of course, you probably will still experience rough times, and there are no guarantees. People you love can leave you. You still have to be careful with credits and debts, with savings, with spending. But these steps offer you as close to a clear future as anything else we’ve come up with. So don’t ridicule it. Just do it, and make poverty history.

*Live within your means. No credit, except for an investment that will yield profits for you! SAVE! SAVE!! SAVE!!! Save money regularly...there is a thin line between wealth and poverty!
