On this thread, let us post different types of Rigging methods that the Politicians use in undermining the decisions of Nigerians and What are the possible ways it can be tackled to ensure that Votes count. Whichever you have Problems or Solutions post.

Some explained it like this, during accreditation when voters are on the line, the riggers will whisper it to people. A voter collects his ballot, enters the boot, thumbprints, but before dropping it into the box, he will hold it as if blowing it for the ink to dry so that the guy handing out the cash will see it. After voting, he goes to the corner and get paid.

Suggested Solution:
- Party agents should be vigilant and look out for this unscrupulous individuals.
- Voters should report and suspicious persons to the police or INEC officials.
- Also voters should reject this corrupt offers and vote for the candidates of their choice.

In the past, we do hear of some communities not voting but will be hearing of results on radio, because INEC officials never made it to those places. Sometimes they are cornered to the place of one rich man or another.

Solution:
INEC must ensure that the movement of sensitive election materials and personnel are conducted with adequate police protection to avoid hoodlums and thugs shortchanging the electoral process.

Much as voters are not coerced by the party agents, I see nothing wrong in that.

Devise your own means of getting votes rather than complain of other parties method.

Hopefully with better resources, APC will b able to deploy agents in all centres because where this occurred in 2011 where in units where all other parties either didn't have agents or had agents only in name because they connived with d PDP agents to rig out their own parties!

Delay Tactics:
Some polling units and areas spend almost the whole day waiting for voting materials. And when it arrive a lot later, many voters are usual unable to vote.

Suggestion:
INEC need to ensure that all materials and Staff are on ground at the Polling Units in time and as early as possible.

In view of the latest addition to our electoral gadgets - The Card Reader. It is a fact that its battery does not last throughout the day.

Suggestion:
- INEC officials should go to the Polling Units with extra 2 or more batteries to ensure everything runs smoothly.

A former PO said they used to collect money from politicians and share the unused ballot papers amongst the political parties present. Usually, the opposition is not allowed to be in on the deal.

Solution:
PVC will solve this 90% because by 1:00pm on saturday, the maximum number of votes per polling units will be known in Abuja. Unused ballots will become useless.

I think the Agunyi is right to some extent, the Nigeria public has lost trust towards the police, this is the more reason, while the military should be deployed across the country before and after elections to help protect lives and properties, the military would not necessarily be @ the polling booth, but some kilometers away, just in case of break down of laws and order.
