Amidst reports that the MVP at the 2013 U17 World Cup Kelechi Iheanacho is set to be handed a recall by the Coach of the national U20 team Manu Garba in preparation for the World U20 Youth Championship starting may 30, 2015, there are widespread concerns over the whereabouts of the Manchester City Starlet.
The last heard about him was that he suffered a relapse of an injury picked up while training with the main team of Manchester City just days before the commencement of the AYC. There were hopes that he may have been eventually released by his club after initial refusal had it not been for the relapse suffered playing with the youth side of his club at the UEFA cup.
After a not too impressive performance from the Flying Eagles at the AYC even with winning the cup, there have been widespread calls for his return to the team alongside other foreign youngsters.who were missing in action at the AYC including Isaac Success, Wilfred Ndidi and Chidebere Nwakali. However no one seems to have sighted the young lad of recent.
Is Kelechi Iheanacho still out injured or missing? .
