As INEC is rounding up the collation and counting of the votes, I will like to congratulate and commend all Nigerians for defying the evil predictions of orgies of violence and threats of Boko Haram bombing, to give our country a befitting, acceptable and peaceful election, despite all the tension and dust that were raised before the election.

However, let us all remember we are all Nigerians, whether PDP or APC. Whoever wins the election should be magnanimous enough to embrace the No Victor No Vanquish doctrine. We need to come together and drive our country to a new level of greatness within the next 4years, when we shall be taking stock and appraising the political class again.

I was very impressed with the way Nigerians came together yesterday donating their generators, bulbs, using the phones as torch light, maintaining orderly queue and waiting patiently. This is the Nigerian Spirit of doggedness, patriotism and resilience. In a very long time, I was very proud of the Nigerian state.

The strong opposition actually changed our political climate and it made the ruling party to do the miraculous within 8weeks to election. The vibrancy of our politics has gotten to another level where we the electorates have sent a clear cut message to the political class that - NEVER AGAIN SHALL YOU TAKE US FOR GRANTED.

We have shown that the reliance on thuggery and godfatherism by the politicians, is becoming a thing of aberration. The emergent of a vibrant middle class has changed the political calculations of this blessed country for good. The use of technology in form of card reader actually added value and confidence to our electioneering process. No doubt there were challenges yesterday, but we can definitely improve on it.

When the results are announced, let us all accept the outcome and come together as one, forget the rancour of the electioneering campaigns and move Nigeria forward once again. For now, we do not have any other country to call ours.

God bless Nigeria.

God Bless Nigeria

Irrespective of whoever wins in the ongoing elections, there would have been some lessons learnt by the ruling party - that no group(s) of people are indispensable.

Also, Nigerians must have realised the power they have in their votes.
One thing I pray for is continuous improvement in our electoral system (which has been commendable by the way), so that our system would be one to emulate by other climes.

If we keep this up, no poor-performing government would be able to exceed 4 years in office. The word 'incumbent' may become obsolete.

I also pray that we as a nation, eventually do away with the seeds of tribal and religious intolerance planted in our history so we can discover our full potential as one Country.
