b. Though deadline wasn't stated but once the form reaches a designated number programmed, it will stop. So u should apply quickly

c. U will need to have International passport as some phase of the training could require you go overseas.

d. The essence of the training according to PTDF is to train Nigerians to acquire the required expertise and skills which makes them readily employable in the Oil and gas companies to fulfill the local content bill.

UPDATE ON PTDF OIL AND GAS FIELD TRAINING PROGRAMME

a. Application has closed as the form has reached the designated number programmed for it to receive.

b. Be prepared to write aptitude test. You must be among the best, if not the best in your state of origin.

c. Other trainings PTDF has done in the past are PTDF Engineering Design Training Programme (EDTP), PTDF Drilling Engineers Training Programme (DETP), PTDF Welders Training Certification Programme (WTCP) e.t.c. EDTP and WTCP took place in Nigeria while DETP took place in Institute of French Petroleum (IFP), France.

d. Internship Opportunity was provided for 6 months for trainees under EDTP for employment opportunities to acquire practical experience. The best will definitely be employed permanently. (http://www.ptdf.gov.ng/index.php/events-1/research/33-demo-1/slides/13-edtp)

e. Trainees are paid stipends by PTDF
while on the programme.

Young Graduate Engineers who have graduated from Nigerian Universities within the last five (5) years.

a. Possession of a first degree in Engineering.
b. Candidates must possess a minimum of second class lower degree.
c. Candidates must not be above 35 years of age.
d. Possession of NYSC certificate.
e. Candidates must be computer literate.
f. Mechanical Engineering discipline will be an added advantage.

Perhaps as usual, this program has been CHANGED. This is one of the cases where masses bear the brunt when the government plays politics with everything by reversing his predecessor's programs.

Guess the economic crunch is responsible for it. Still keeping hope alive.

Some guys for the geoscience training programme (GTP), just receive calls today from PTDF requesting some update information from them.

I believe they still have this training in mind and might just call soon.

seems so. only Geoscience training peeps are updating there thread and hopeful about the training. May be some peeps have heard the field training program isn't holding anymore.
