I Envy The Mad by Nobody: 1:05pm On Mar 31, 2015
I wonder if the mad worry
Do they have fears like I do?
Do they think of tomorrow?
Or just go with the wind?

I think they must be fortunate
Unaware of you and I
Unaware of religious routine
Of the vanity of fashion and society
Free from hate
Free from pain
Like a shelled snail
They reside in tranquility

I envy them every time
For their wisdom surpasses ours
They don't beg nor work
They never stress
And yet they never die of hunger
So here's to all the mad people
I'm getting ready, ready to join you

nice piece. The part i envy most about them is the total lack of the fear of losing a loved one. I've always imagined a life totally devoid of fear of what the future holds in stock. A life without the 'what if' questions of life. like, what if i die 2day? What if i lose my mother? What if a car suddenlly hits me? The list is endless, and last time i checked, heaven is the only place such ineffable peace can felt. Put then i stop and connect the dots, does it mean mad people are already enjoying the heavenly peace, here on earth?? I ENVY THE MAD

After going thru d poem, i recalled Nathaniel Lee's quote

They called me mad, and I called
them mad, and damn them, they
outvoted me.

P.s please don't join them.
