Imagine. Gowon was head of state at 32. And you see young people here who probably were not born when buhari was in power screaming sai buhari. At what age do today's youths really want to lead? Buhari himself became Head of State at 41 while today a young and vibrant Desmond Eliot is running for a state House of Assembly position at 40 and you then have men in their 60s and 70s who don't want to leave the Senate and the presidency. Its a shame to all Nigerian youths. If you have supported Buhari you should be very ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. Nonsense

Very true. Its a shame desmond elliot is even running for a state house of assembly. Imoke was 30 years old in 1990 and he was in the senate. HOW old was tinubu when he was in the senate? taking Nigerian youths for fools. The voting power of Nigerian youths can deliver a vibrant 40 year old president. Shame on nigerian youths really. it all boils down to a lack of ambition. many of them cant even pass waec neco or jamb to save their lives. all they know is women drinks partying and nonsense while tinubu rubbishes himself

Okay where did the young leaders took us, since 1960 we don't know how it feels to have uninterrupted power supply for a month, we haven't experience good quality health delivery, do you really know what it feels when you are about to finish service year and like 5jobs are waiting for you to choose from, Good feeder roads (dont mention the tension) Education people upgrading result to get into university where strike will turn a four years course to seven. Men are getting married instead of boys because no one can tell the exact age of someone to be called a Youth leader. 60yrs old man is been called a youth leader because he got married at 45. Let give chance to the old and see what will happen in the next ten years then you can come and tell me who should or not become the president.

so Jonathan is a youth?can u see the way the youth of nowadays are quick to sell their future and birth rites all in the name of money? This election should tell u that our youths are not ready to take the mantle yet.....they will just siphone everything.let someone with integrity (sai Baba) clean everywhere and set the standard, then the youth can following the trend

Which youth is the OP even talking about? The same youth that have been tested with various sensitive positions but failed.

Alamseigha was just in his 40s when he was convicted for money laundry. Even James Ibori falls in the same category.

Dimeji Bankole was also a youth, and every politcally conscious person knows how he embezzled our billions.

Jonathan is also a good example of today's youth generation, rate him on your own.

So which youth are you talking about?
It's not all about youth or not; what matters is the personality and the integrity of the person involved.

Politics is about numbers and alliances and money backing. Lets walk before we run, the time will surely come.

for your information Donald duke was in his thirties when he transformed cross rivers state. fashola was just about 42 when he started transforming lagos. dangote was barely in his twenties when he stated building dangote group. on the other hand mugabe is in his eighties and hes doing a good job wrecking zimbabwe. so what are u talkng about? is it a 73 year old man that runs this site? seun is a young man building a network you could communicate your opinions on. but im sure if Seun says he want to run for governor of his state today or senate you'll say he's too young. he should wait for his tme. you see the hypocrisy?

there's a reason the bible used the quote "wisdom as of old", with the present level of rot and decadence, it would only take someone with an unwavering background of strong morals and sound principles to overhaul the system. Buhari's experience would also come to play here to dismantle that already established corrupt system. The sole reason he's there is because of his personality- I'm sure majority will agree with me on this. Zero tolerance for corruption, our biggest hurdle & enemy of our progress, he has seen the better part of Nigeriad, our so called youth leaders today will likely get consumed by the system due to sheer greed. It would have been out greatest loss if this opportunity slipped pass. Can you name any youth today who's held elective position & can be compared in terms of integrity with my General? How many leaders today can afford to have just one house in his village, an oil minister that can't boast of an oil tanker not to talk of oil wells.... The list goes on. The General is here to sanitise and pave the way for democracy in a new Nigeria #team Change

Funny you are, your statement lacks every element of objectivity, did I tell you every youth is the same?

My exact point is that both young and old can be bad, so age should not be the criterion we use in decidng who leads us or not.

The integrity of the perrson involved should be the determining factor.

Old men like (read about them) Jose Mujiaga of Urguay [75], Milos Zeman of Czech Republic [74], Ronald Regean of India [70] have had their names written in the book of history for the postive transformation they created in their respective countriesas leaders.

And Gowon led us to civil war!

Please! Leaders should lead at an age when they have conquered majority of their flaws...
