Every year, students in Nigeria are given scholarships to aid and support their studies. These scholarships are provided by government, some organizations, agencies etc
HOW TO GET ANY OF THE SCHOLARSHIPS
To get any of the scholarship require you to
Be either in first year or second year i.e (100 level or 200 level) at time of applying.
Have at least a CGPA of 3.0 at current level.
Be a Nigerian.
Studing any professional courses at university majorly or polytechnic example; engineering
Have some required documents such as admission slip, state of origin, birth certificate, JAMB result, WAEC result, attestation letter signed from Local Government.

Happy to see my fellow Maidites. Congrats to all those given admission. It's a thing of pride to study in unimaid, most especially in medical school. Come prepared as conditions might not be favorable especially in terms of weather... maid is a town of extreme temperature. It could be really cold during the hammattan and damn hot during the dry season...

To those admitted into MBBS, you guys are lucky. The present provost has tried to amend the calender of medical school starting from those who came in in 2012. No more graduating after 8 years for MBBS or 9 years for BDS. The calendar is now fast. Both degrees, MBBS and BDS are now 6 years...

For those expecting another admission list, I doubt if there will be any except for table admission... let's wait and see sha. But the possibility is low

Are you or your parents experiencing some sort of financial difficulties?

Are you of good character with goals of getting a quality university degree?

If you can answer yes to the 3 questions above then this is the chance you've been waiting for.

The Nigerian Renaissance Initiative Scholarship has been set up by an anonymous donor to run every year so as to enable school leavers with university ambitions that would have otherwise not been able to achieve their educational aspirations due to financial constraints.

Application is open to all so if you know someone or can say yes to the 3 questions above then send in your application.

Applicants are to email the committee a 400 worded essay on the topic, EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN NIGERIA, A success or failure
