Mods, we need this on the front page This is the real problem, how can Jimi go around inciting the Igbos like this. This type of politics should be condemned by all Lagosians. It shows Jimi does not have the best interest of Lagos at heart

egift:Egift my friend, please talk about your state, Enugu, leave lagos politics for Lagosians. Do you think Igbo/Lagosians are fools? After giving them their greatest humiliation by way of deportation, you expect them to jump at anything APC. Whether you like it or not, I expect you admit that APC shot themselves on the foot by taking Igbos for granted. For sure, Igbo votes alone cannot elect a governor in Lagos, but any candidate Igbos vote enmass wins the race. That's your frustrations. |

egift: I remember vividly, Ambode campaigning and 'shutting down' Alaba Int'l market wooing Igbo voters. Both parties have worked tirelessly canvassing votes from eligible lagosians and I don't really see the need for this fuss. Lastly, I don't believe you are Igbo! ..stop fanning the embers of tribalism. |

engrfcuksmtin:His land stops at Isale-Eko and no further...Igbos have earned the right to vote whoever they wish in this democracy. If the Oba wants to start what he cannot finish,he can bring it on.Remember we have Yoruba communities outside yoruba land even in overseas...Also remember we also have experience in reprisal killings of all sorts and at all places especially with the northerners, yorubas don't .It will be a big shame these yoruba innocents are sent home in body bags. |

Texcoco: You keep missing the point. If TAN is working for Agbaje, it should be about mobilizing votes from Lagos for him. It should not be limited to pitch Ndigbo against his opponents. Even APGA candidate stepped down for Ambode. So where Agbaje is heading with his efforts to make Ndigbo an appendage of his Governorship Ambition is what I can't see. If what Agbaje is doing is not checked, tomorrow if he failed it will amount to Ndigbo failing - when in reality, Ndigbo have no stake in him than being a mere candidate for Governorship Election. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Arch1: People don't learn from previous mistakes, is this not the same mistake pdp made with all those negative propaganda against GMB, BAT and PYO?. They have started with Oba of Lagos, and expect people to just swallow it hook line and sinker, honestly speaking Jimi is a goner. 5 Likes |

TheOnlyWiseMan: If Agbaje is not putting the hard earn reputation of my people in harms way, I will not bother. Read my lips, Ndigbo cannot not be a pawn in Agbaje's game. His methods are crude and destructive. Ndigbo have been in Lagos for Generations - Agbaje has no right to drag our name to the mud to serve his personal ambition. Let him canvas for votes the right way by projecting his plans to all Lagosians and stop making it an Igbo Agenda. 4 Likes |

dunkem21: If indeed Rilwan said that then he's dead-wrong. But Jimi is doing much worse by inciting igbos and Yorubas against each other, neighbors that have hitherto lived cordially and in peace with one another. That is the characteristic divisive politics that PDP is known for. Jimi's a goner. 1 Like |

egift:The founder of TAN is an igbo man,his constituents and major support base are the igbos and the TAN man is aligned with the PDP which coincidentally Agbaje picked his governorship ticket from.Agbaje with Ambode are desperate for igbo votes and if his close working relationship with Ubah is yielding dividends who says what he is doing is wrong?? Afterall Ambode took Osinbade to Alaba recently and nobody raised dust...The igbos have not always concerned themselves with politics in Lagos but with this outburst from Akiolu then it will be safe to say that not only are they angry but are have become mightily interested and Ambode can kiss the few igbos in his votes goodbye after the almost titanic hardwork courting them...Because let us face it,igbos are stubborn and they will vote Agbaje/PDP maybe not to win but to prove a point. |

Texcoco: Look, Mr.Garish blue fonts , just go and vote for Agbaje, if you are even Lagosian to begin with, and mobilise as many people as you can to do the same. Leave the rest to other Lagosians and let us meet here next Sunday. You are talking too much for someone about to have egg on his face in a few days. 6 Likes |

Texcoco: And when Ambode wins, even without Igbo votes, how would you then feel if he choses to become vindictive towards Lagos igbos for not voting for him? Just take it easy with your venom, coz if you live in a glass-house don't throw stones. 3 Likes |

egift: Why can't people see the obvious? Whether Agbaje wins or loses, the cold war between Igbos and their hosts becomes official! The moment Agbaje made this race an Igbo agenda, I knew he's lost it! The after-effect of ethnic politics can be very disturbing, and I don't think Lagos needs that now! 6 Likes |

WisdomFlakes:Most of the igbo populated areas in Lagos are under severe neglect after APC elitist policies these past years, what can Ambode do but continue the same neglect and igbos will still thrive. The only other thing Ambode can do is close markets and businesses, but we all know that is like placing an embargo on yourself,no money for Lagos treasury.increase tax,we increase cost of goods and standard of living, who suffers??....we can go on and on...The least Ambode can do right now is damage control -we saw him feature Flavour in one of his TV adverts-but after Akiolu's outburst,we are afraid that ship has since sailed. |

WisdomFlakes: You will be foolish to believe that your first statement. So you seriously believe every Yoruba will support Ambode? Or very Hausa, or every ijaw or Benin or efik or tiv or any other minority here in Lagos? Na mumu dey worry you. Igbo's did not vote enmasse for GEJ forget what you saw. If Igbo's came out in their millions to support GEJ he would have won. He got far more votes in 2011. |
