Fellow Nairalanders,

How does it feel, when you take your time to write a book, review it, type, design and exert so much stress and sleepless night.

Now its time to reap the fruit of your labour. Chances are you already planned to sell it in eBook format so as to expose it to a large audience that now prefer to read on their mobile device. Assuming you decide to sell for a price of say 3USD, translating to roughly 500 naira.

You have uploaded your book on an eBook sales site, gave it so much advert and publicity on Facebook and other online forum. Remember this will also consume your time and energy.

You have been able to attract a few readers, they purchased your book and liked it. You knew this because of the reviews. BUT here is the downtime, your readers recommended your book to their friends, BUT instead of sending them to buy form the book URL or link, they simply TRANSFER THE BOOK to them.

Who is loosing you, more people get to read your book but at no income to you.

How would you feel and what can you do. I'd really love to hear comments from you guys.

And by the way, would you pay extra for DRM protection on your ebook or reduce your income per sales just for the sake of protecting it from un-authorised copy.
