I chose University of Ibadan as my first choice school, I've heard a lot of information on their admission process, that is based on merit, i.e what you school in your jamb divided by 10, + your O'level merits, which have to sum up to be at least 50. How true is that? Let me give you a clue of what I'm talking about: Merits A1-6 B2-5 B3-4 C4-3 C5-2 C6-1 You'll have to sum up what you got in your five subject with you have in your jamb. If you gat 6 A1s making it 30+ let's say you have 250 in Jamb, that makes it 55. I heard that if you are not up to 50, you shouldn't come for post UME. How true is this information? |

Why all the tenssion, i think it is high time we stoped all these examination fever. As far as i am concern, almost no candidate knows how universities mark their post jamb at the end of the day some people will come out with one "intersting" rumour.Please, if you are going for any post ume exam, don't ever listen to what people are saying, just get to know what u need to know about the school and the exam.Try as much as u can to meet up with the school cut-off mark, they will definately give you addmission even if not the course you applied for execpt otherwise. |

The calculation is based on your o'level thus: A1-6 B2-5 B3-4 C4-3 C5-2 C6-1 Add 5 credit together that are relevant to course you choose. Thus: I chosed Biochemistry or Agric my 5 relevant subject or best are: Eng,Maths,Biology,Chemistry,Physics Assumed my Eng-B2, Maths-C4,Bio-C6,Phys-C5, Chem-A1 4+3+1+2+6: 16 multiply by 2 : 32 Your jamb will be 100% 200 ; 20.0 32+20.0 = 52.0 |

these are my waec results: eng B3, maths C4, phy B3, chem C4, geo B3, econs B3, bio&f/maths D7... Am i still qualified for mechanical engineering in UI? |
