Through the thick forest of time
Weaving through leaves, figs, soil and grime
Carrying quietly my shell burden calmly
Do you laugh at my pace?
Don't you know steady and slow the race
Wins surely? Just look at others
Contending for life's many trophies
They run, fast and furious
But in their haste, they end up in crashes!
Yet, here I am, snailing my trail
But sure to get there without derail
My destination is as clear as the sun
Safe home arrival is certain as morn
For little by little life is
One step at a time it really is
That way, you will surely succeed
