Illiteracy is pervasive in Nigeria. It really beggars believe that someone would blatantly make wholesale tribalistic comments without restraint or recourse to reasoning. Reading these boards, I keep wondering whether the governor being of same extraction as himself would make any difference to him.

I keep telling folks, the North has led Nigeria for upwards of 50% since we gained independence and yet Northern Nigeria can hardly be classified as anything close to Eldorado.

Some people blithely refuse to see the truth. It seems tribalism or in this case base clannish sentiments has pulled wool over their eyes.

When we called him out on this assertion and proved to him that it would take about 52 years and 7 governors paying 30Billion Naira every month to payback the loan without interest, he came out to tell the Aba chamber of Commerce that it was a political statement.
