4k is useless on a smartphone,since 1440p is difficult to point out individual pixels,even when one eye is squited.....dey only add to massive battery consumption.its just a marketing strategy.

Ppi is a unit for the sharpness or clearness of screen.....it tells how sharp or clear images displayed by screen is.the higher the number,the better the image quality of the screen....most low quality phones have ppi of 180 and 250( dats y most techno fones comes with dull screens).....iphone,lumia,galaxy s-series,xperia zseries etc come with ppi dat re between 300 and 600.

4k on smartphones is basically cos of VR. Note 5 is likely to be 4k too. VR is the next big thing

Yes, I know Facebook is in charge of oculus, microsoft and sony are into gaming but it doesn't mean other oems can't spring a new thing

Though,google is working on android vr,facebook has already bought ppl interest of its yet to release occulus.sony and microsoft re into gaming,but microsoft is seeing vr and ar beyong gaming dats while 'hololens' is set to replace computer and phone.which puts facebook and google efforts in jeopardy....most ppl are more confortable with augmented reality (like hololens,google glass not included)dan vr
