ATTACK OF NIGERIANS IN SOUTH AFRICA- A CALL
FOR ACTION AND REPRISAL IN NIGERIA! Fellow
Nigerians! I have been saturated with videos and
photographs of attack by South Africans on
Nigerians living in
South Africa. This is now
popularly called XENOPHOBIA. At the last count,
more than 10 Nigerians are said to have been
killed and over 30 maimed apart from total looting
of the properties of Nigerians FOR DOING NOTHING
BUT FOR JEALOUSY. The questions that I need to
ask from Nigerians are: a. Do Nigeria and
Nigerians deserve this treatment from South Africa
with our sacrifice and contribution to the
emergence and growth of that country? b. Do
South Africans realise the role played by Nigeria in
the struggle against apartheid? c. Do South
Africans realise that Nigeria and Nigerians lost free
entry and free exit from United Kingdom because of
the role Nigeria played and its Foreign Policy
against exploitation of South Africa and Apartheid?
d. Is South Africa aware that it is the second
largest economy in Africa today because of the fact
that Nigeria and Nigerians made it possible by
accommodating DSTV, MTN and other South
African Companies. e. Does South Africa realise
that what they are doing in Nigeria and getting
away with, no Nigerian can do that in South Africa?
For instance, DSTV decoder is being freely
distributed to the citizens in South Africa but it is
being sold to Nigerians here in Nigeria. f. Is any
Nigerian aware that Nigerians are paying the
highest subscription to watch DSTV in Africa? Are
Nigerians aware that the DSTV decoder comes with
Internet access but Nigerians are denied its usage
while South Africans use the DSTV decoders to
watch TV and at the same time use it for surfing
the Internet at no extra cost? Of recent, DSTV
increased its subscription with additional # 300
but it was challenged in court and the court gave
an injunction against implementation of the new
tariff and yet DSTV went ahead to increase the tariff
in flagrant disdain to an order of Court. Can any
Nigerian company try that in South Africa? I am
very sure that no Nigerian is oblivious of the way
MTN, another South Africa company, is reaping off
Nigerians. At the inception of MTN in Nigeria, a
SIM card went for 35,000.00 (thirty five thousand
Naira). This exploitation was so much that MTN
realised her initial capital cost within three
months. Can a Nigerian Company try that in South
Africa? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! CALL FOR ACTION! 1.
I wish to call on Nigerian Government to as a
matter of urgency severe diplomatic relations with
South Africa, evacuate all Nigerians from that God
forsaken country and renegotiate the basis of our
relationship if there will be any reason to resume
diplomatic relations in the future. 2. I call on
Nigerian Government to confiscate and Nationalise
all South African Companies in Nigeria including
DSTV and MTN and hand them over to Nigerians
whose businesses have been looted and taken
over by South Africans. 3. Nigerian Government
should officially report South Africa Government
and the South Africa Kings that were said to have
given killing order against Nigerians to UNO and
ICC for prosecution. 4. South Africa should be
compelled to pay huge compensation to the
families of those that have been brutally murdered.
5. The South African Policemen that were present
during the mob action but refused to protect
Nigerians but instead were amused and were
laughing it off should be identified and charged
before ICC for genocide. They ought to realize too
that nobody has monopoly of violence. ENOUGH IS
ENOUGH!!! Let's keep on spreading this till it will
get to appropriate quaters
