This is not an ill informed guess as every other person in your list is famous in their own right; therefore they were used as examples due to their popularity for effect.

Anyway I googled 'Bernard Shaw' and apart from the famous author, another Bernard Shaw exists who is a jounalist, born in 1940, still alive and kicking.

The truth is many christians who claim to be transformed by christ love are deeply even murderously intolerant of criticism and it is clear this hatred for some people draws support from the bible.

There is no single line in the bible that could have been authored by a 21st century person, there are pages on how to sacrifice animals, who to kill, and keep slaves, nothing on DNA, electricity, microbiology etc. So clearly out knowledge have surpassed the superstition and the barbarism in the bible. It is only a fool that would consult the bible for scientific, historical and moral understanding.
