Nothing wrong in cooking cus I love surprising a lady with a mouth watering dish as I can prepare any kind of dish or even come up with my own kind of recipe.

Gift is ok, but not to say it must be expensive.A white woman or American who give out flowers to a person they love, they appreciate such.But telling us here that it must be an expensive gift that she can appreciate, I cannot buy to that. I love o surprise a lady by shopping for good cloths, undies, shoes, lingerings and good stuffs that I see a lady having on her.
Giving out something must not be meant to look as if one is been taken advantage of as some Nigerian ladies tend to look at it.

I had a lady that I date from Syracuse NY and only my cooking swept her off her feet while both of us were in the college.

Other things could be done herein for a lady you care about depending on how understanding the lady is.
